Welcome to Magic Tree House Monday!
Each Monday (other than when special events are planned) I will review one book of the Magic Tree House Series by Mary Pope Osborne.
Book 6 in the series, Afternoon on the Amazon, sets off on another great adventure for Jack and Annie. They are on a mission to find the 4 special things to help free Morgan and they must face the dangers of the Amazon jungle and river to find one of the items.
My Review: Another fun adventure for Jack and Annie. This one might be a little scary for some impressionable children with all the scary jungle animals. With that said it does a great job of including little facts about each of the animals. You also get to see a trend in finding the special things to free Morgan, it is a nice mystery for the kids to think about and try to work out.
My Rating: I am really hoping that by the time he is old enough to read this book Munchkin will have outgrown some of his fears, otherwise we will face some nightmares. It is still a great book with educational facts interwoven in the story. I give it a rating of Four Paws.
