Advent Reads Day 20: Bedtime Story: 5 More Sleeps 'Til Christmas by Jimmy Fallon

     Welcome to Advent Reads!

This is an event I have had on my blog for several years running now.  Each evening I feature a different holiday themed book. Think of it as your Book Advent Calendar! I post a variety of holiday books including romance, children's, middle-grade, mystery, paranormal, and I try to find some that are other holiday celebrations than Christmas too. I hope you will stop by each evening to see what new book I have for you!

Read for: Children's Books

Synopsis: "Host of NBC's The Tonight Show and three-time #1 New York Times-bestselling author Jimmy Fallon returns with this sweet and spirited Christmas picture book.

Just 5 more sleeps 'til Christmas!
Can you believe it's here?
I know that Santa's coming soon
'cause I've been good all year.

Everyone who grew up celebrating Christmas remembers the excitement that built up to the most magical day of the year. But why not make the last week until Christmas more fun by counting how many sleeps until the arrival of Santa and his reindeer?

Accompanied by the beautiful and energetic artwork of Rich Deas, enjoy the humor of Jimmy Fallon as he prepares readers for the most exciting week of the year in this new holiday tradition for your family—5 More Sleeps 'til Christmas."

My Review: After hearing about this book, I had to read it for Advent Reads! This is a fun and cute book for the countdown to Christmas day. We all remember the anticipation that is almost too much to handle and this book perfectly captures that excitement. It is fun to read with some great rhyming that just rolls off the tongue when you read it aloud. It may not be the best book for bedtime because I felt like it did feed into that excitement a bit and may get everyone going but it is still such a fun book to read in the last few days leading up to Christmas!

My Rating: I really enjoyed this book and picked up a copy for my friends who have younger children. It is easy to read out loud and the kids will be so excited while listening to it.  I give it a rating of Four Paws!

Good Night! Sweet Dreams!
