Bedtime Story: Big and Little by Yang Hang and Illustrated by Li Xinyi

Read for: Netgalley/Requested Review/ Children's Book

Synopsis: "Big Raccoon and Little Raccoon love each other very much. They come across a snail trying to climb a rock, wanting to 'get to the other side.' Little Raccoon wants to wait for it and Big Raccoon doesn't. The disagreement over what happens next pulls both raccoons apart, only for them to come back together to a stronger friendship. A touching book about learning when to help friends and when to let them do things on their own. For friends big and little ages 4 and up.

My Review: Even though my little munchkin has long since grown out of picture books, I still love reading them and checking out new releases. This book caught my eye with the adorable illustrations. Besides the cute illustrations, it also has a pretty great story and message for those littles and bigs, just because someone is bigger doesn't always mean their way is the best and maybe it is a good idea to let someone figure out their own way of doing things. It also had a great part about forgiveness and working together. All in all this is a really cute book with a great story for littles and bigs alike.

My Rating: This was a pretty cute book and I really like how the choices are made and handled.  This, like so many other great picture books, has a message for the adult readers as well as the kids they might be reading to.  I give it a rating of Four Paws.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley; the above is my honest review and opinion.

Big and Little is being released on June 15th, so you can pre-order your own copy in print format from Amazon or Barnes & Noble or request your local library or bookstore to order it for you.

Good Night!  Sweet Dreams!
