Meet Me on Monday

So I found this fun little meme I thought would be great to add so people get to know me a little better (and discover my strange little quirks). Meet Me On Monday is hosted by Acting Balanced where 5 questions are posted each week for us to answer about ourselves and share with all of our readers.

Acting Balanced

And now for this weeks Questions:

1. Finish this sentence - The last movie I saw in the theater was... Hunger Games, and before that it was Breaking Dawn Part 1. I don't get to the movies often :(

2. Do you have any idiosyncrasies? Gosh who doesn't.  I think the one I notice the most (mainly because everyone points it out) is my need for lists, I have checklists for my checklists and have every moment of my day scheduled (I know it takes me exactly 22 minutes to clean the bathroom each week).

3. What is your favorite clothing store to shop at? Um I would have to say Kohl's especially when you hit their sales. But I only shop for clothes once every 2 or 3 or more years, so I stock up and try to maintain weight.

4. What fun things do you have planned for the week ahead? hahaha fun thing?! Gosh I have so much on my plate right now I don't think fun really even figures into it (even things like ponies that use to be fun, aren't now that its crunch time).  I guess the most fun thing is that my bookshelves are finally up in the basement so I get to re-shelve my books.

Question 5 is for all of you . . .

I went to a fundraiser for the RISPCA this last weekend and I guess animals are always on my mind.  So do you have pets? Are they adopted from a rescue?

So another week has begun, ugh, why can't weekends last a little longer?! I feel like all I do is run around trying to get caught up from the week only to be thrown into the next week before I accomplish it.

The exciting thing that came up this weekend was that we finally have a bathroom back!! Hurray for not having rosin paper on the floor and plaster dust in the tub! There are still a couple of finishing touches but it is functional again!! Next project (if the electrician ever shows up again) is to finish replacing the wiring in the house and to fix our AC, hopefully both will be done by the end of May!

I hope you all had a slightly more relaxing weekend than I did!!

  1. The answer to the movie questions would have been the exact same for me! I hardly ever see movies, I just think it costs too much to be worth it. I wait until I can get them from the library.

We have 2 dogs and 1 cat. A lab/border collie mix named Jake, beagle named Rusty, and gray/white cat named Max. Jake wandered on to a coworkers yard and they couldn't keep him, Rusty was wandering down the street from our old house and in bad shape, and Max wandered on to a friend's yard when we were holding a garage sale. So they were all adopted in some way. :)

Glad to hear things are coming along well in the house! :D

    1. It is crazy expensive to go out to the movies, if you do dinner before or after (or even drinks) it will cost about $80 - $100! Unfortunately there are so many movies coming out this year that I want to see!!

Awe I love seeing lonely animals find loving homes!

  2. Wow, you really don't go to the movies that often. I'm a bit OCD too. I don't have to have too many lists but I like to have things planned out.

My cat isn't technically a rescue, she just showed up at my house and after getting no response to find her owner I adopted her.

    1. Lists and plans help keep me sane, hubby doesn't quite understand what it takes to be a multi-tasker working full time, maintaining a house with a dog & cat, and having a small art business on the side!

:D she came to the right house then!!

Both Valerie & Niko came from rescues, and we continue to support their rescues. We plan on only adopting animals.
