After Dark Review of No Ifs Ands or Bears About It by Celia Kyle

I have added After Dark Reviews to my blog as a way of notifying you of a review of a book with Adult themes and scenes. From now on I will keep my reviews of all books I read that have explicit scenes in them for late night posts for those of you who prefer to avoid them or easy to find for those of you who seek them out ;)

Synopsis: "The first day of Mia’s new life in Grayslake, Georgia is not going as planned. The house her grandfather left her looks ready to crumble, boxes cover every inch of the floor and—oh—there’s a bear cub in her pantry. It gets worse when the cub’s uncle comes by and busts out his fur and claws while on her front porch. Then it gets loads better because suddenly there’s a hot hunk of badge-wearing werebear on her lawn ready to rescue her. Yum. Of course, he has to ruin things by trying to take the cub out of her hands. Ha! The cub is hers… No ifs, ands, or bears about it.

Werebear Ty can’t seem to get the curvaceous, delectable Mia to understand that, even if she is one-quarter werebear, she isn’t keeping the cub. Ty is the Grayslake Itan, the clan’s leader, and the little werebear is going home with him… Unless it isn’t. It’s her smile. If she’d stop smiling and being gorgeous, his inner-bear would support him and Ty would get his way. But the beast wants to make their woman happy, so it’s perfectly content to let her do as she pleases. Then things change. Threats arise, danger comes close, and Ty demands she return to his den. No ifs, ands, or mates about that."

My Review: MMMMM! I have always been a little partial to big cat shifters but oh boy did bear shifters make a move up the list with this one. I absolutely loved the pushy and bossiness of the MCs. Mia is awesome and I want to be her friend and learn her kick ass attitude. Parker is insanely adorable, who wouldn't cuddle a frightened little shifter bear cub? I couldn't stop turning the pages on this one, while it followed some common romance clichés it was done beautifully. There was plenty of tension and suspense to keep you involved in the story and not just skimming the pages. So all in all I suggest this one, you won't regret it. Yes, I have already downloaded the next book!

My Rating: I really did enjoy this one and it was a great change of pace from all the sweet holiday romances.  I like the constant butting of heads and of course the steam was great.  I give it a rating of Four Paws!
