My Review: We are big Pete the Cat fans and of course had to get this one. For some reason I really had a hard time finding Pete's jazzy personality in this one and couldn't get into the rhythm of the story like usual. With that said this is a fun book, especially as kids get a little older and start having sleepovers. What is the best way to settle down to a good night's sleep? Pete seems to have the answer.

My Rating: I couldn't quite get into the rhyme and rhythm of this one but it was still a very fun Pete the Cat story. Munchkin did enjoy it but it wasn't his favorite. We give this one a rating of Three Paws.

We love Pete too, but I agree that his other books don't have the same jazzy charm as the one about the buttons and his shoes.
ReplyDeleteI think our favorite is the Magic Sunglasses, the jazzy beat comes out in that one really well. I am sure it is hard to keep that writing style up and have it come across that way every time.
