Tasty Attempts: Parmesan Chicken Roll Ups

I am now posting Tasty Attempts every other Tuesday. The posts will include a variety of recipes, maybe some of them turn out tasty, maybe others are failed attempts.

So I was again out searching for a simple meal that maybe Munchkin could help with and eat, and I came across a recipe for Parmesan Chicken Roll Ups on Pinterest.  It looked simple, and while maybe not the healthiest it was something Munchkin could possibly go for eating. I had everything on hand except the crescent rolls.  I cooked up the chicken and had Munchkin help make the spread, he also helped put it on the chicken and the cheese for me.

They weren't the prettiest things to look at but were delicious! We didn't dip ours in marinara sauce like the recipe called for, Munchkin wanted honey mustard instead.  I did also throw a steamer bag of mixed veggies in the microwave to go with it.  It was a surprisingly simple and quick dinner to make and was just as good as left overs too!

    1. Haha not super healthy by any means but not as bad as it could be I guess, but they were so tasty especially the cheese that melted out and got crispy!

  2. Sounds yummy! I like to get Gnome involved with cooking as well. Have you seen the 100 Days of Real Food cookbook? It is AWESOME!! The recipes are simple and delicious. My family has loved all the recipes I've tried. They are super healthy, and Gnome can help with them.

    1. I haven't seen that cookbook yet, but I will definitely have to check it out. I try not to cook the same dish more than twice a month (excluding of course the preschooler required meals of fish sticks, chicken nuggets and mac & cheese).
