Bedtime Story: A Loud Winter's Nap by Katy Hudson

Read for: 2018 Children's book Challenge

Synopsis: "Every year Tortoise sleeps through winter. He assumes he isn't missing much. However, his friends are determined to prove otherwise! Will Tortoise sleep through another winter, or will his friends convince him to stay awake and experience the frosty fun of winter? Best-selling author Katy Hudson's charming picture book will convince even the biggest winter grouche that winter can be magical if you have friends by your side."

My Review: I have had this book sitting on the shelf for Munchkin for a while, it is now a bit young for his liking but we still read it anyway. It is a cute story to read in the winter, we get to see all the fun things to do in the snowy cold weather. Munchkin liked the beaver cutting down the tree the best. We never really find out why Tortoise doesn't like the winter, other than they usually hibernate I believe. The illustrations have bright, bold colors to attract those little eyes and the story is short enough to read at bedtime.

My Review: While this is a little young for Munchkin, it would be great for those really little children. It is short for their attention spans with bold images and fun characters.  We give it a rating of Three Paws and a Stump Wag!

Good Night! Sweet Dreams!
