~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really can't believe what a month it has been so far, and we still have almost 2 more weeks! At this rate I will be able to finish all my challenges and read a few extras that catch my eye throughout the year.
I am also very happy and proud to say I still haven't purchased any books yet this year! I was sorely tempted while on amazon the other day getting a few crafty items for Munchkin and again over the weekend when at Target picking up a few things (I really wanted to pick up a Valentine's book for Munchkin but I resisted). I am hoping to hold off until February, at least then I will have enough points to go on a little shopping spree!
I know it was Mini Bloggiesta this last weekend and I would have liked to participate (I have a huge to do list on this blog) but I ended up spending the weekend potty training Munchkin instead. Anyway, you really don't want to hear about that adventure. But I do have a few things on my mind for the full blown Bloggiesta. First and foremost is the Archives. I managed to get it all updated and organized last spring but since then I have read nearly 400 books! I am beginning to questions whether it is worth it to have all the reviews linked on the archive page or if I should just like to my Goodreads reviews (all my links go to the reviews there anyway). The other thing is I am not thrilled with the layout of the blog, the few times I have gone on from the front I have found it not very user friendly. So I am wondering if I should go back to my original layout or if I should pay someone to create one for me (I need to research what this would entail and what the cost estimate would be).
So you see, I have a lot on my mind and a lot of reading going on! How was your week?
I've wanted to have my blog done by a professional. I have this whole idea of what I want it to look like but I don't think it'll ever happen.
ReplyDeleteI really don't have an idea of how I want it to look but hopefully some point down the road I can figure it out! Good news is that a cousin of mine is planning to go to college for graphic design maybe she can do my blog for a school project HAHAHA!
DeleteDoing good! That's great about not buying any new reads. I have not done so great with that. lol Hope you enjoy the re-read of Kaye's series. I so need to do that one day.
ReplyDeleteIts so hard to resist buying books, I can't remember the last time I went an entire month without purchasing a book, but at least the free books and requested reviews eases that need a little! I just finished North of Need and can't wait to read the rest of the series!
