Review of Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

Synopsis: "What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.

But everything she's ever worked for is threatened when Ty Greeen moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he's also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan's feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart's on the line?"

My Review: I have no idea what took me so long to read Catching Jordan! I think I loved ever aspect of this book. I grew up as one of the guys and could completely involve myself in this story. Each of the characters were well developed and you couldn't help but love them. In fact I want more of them, I want to know what happens next in their lives. I really enjoyed how Miranda Kenneally put together the story line, while you have the love triangle that seems to be required in every young adult book now, it really didn't take over the story. Catching Jordan also handled emotions and family dynamics of teenage life really well, maybe because of the type of character that Jordan is, while she did have a little meltdown it wasn't overly dramatic (like many of the female characters in YA that drive me bonkers). All in all I loved this book and am looking forward to more from Kenneally! I totally forgot to mention Kenneally did a fantastic job with all the football terms!! As a huge football fan, I think it would have been disappointing if she hadn't put the extra effort in to get it all right!

My Rating:  I absolutely love this book and couldn't give it any less than Four Paws and a Stump Wag! I had added this to my TBR pile some time ago and then my pal Jessica of at Thoughts at One in the Morning posted her review, so I just had to read it right away. It is a definite must read in my opinion!

  1. Score! I am so glad you enjoyed it this much. And I'm glad you were able to get to it this soon. I can't wait to read more from her too. It's still another couple months until the next release! AH! :D
